Love...

What is love?
What is the love?
Is it just a word?
Is it just a feeling?
What is it?
Is the love brilliant?
Is the love just a perfect moment?
Is love a place?
Is it safe, without tears? A quiet place?
A sweet place?
Is it a dream? Is it magic?
I don't know...
And, what do you think?

Miss Lucy

Lucy was different from the other girls. She had something inside that nobody could ever understand. If she was still there, she would keep on hiding herself from life and joy.
I could never talk to Miss Lucy, but I admire her since I first saw her. She was a pretty green-eyed girl and she used to hide her fair and white skin under her black hair.
Every day when I saw her walking back home, I could see her dreams faiding out of her eyes like tears. I always knew that somehow she would find strengh to get out of that place and free herself. She didn't have anybody to say goodbye, so she left town and never looked back.
That town is now only dust and old leaves without Miss Lucy. I will always wonder why I didn't tell her I'd be the one who would miss her forever.

The words and me

I think that the words
Really don't like me
But honestly
I don't like them either
I hate the way that the words
Seem to desappear
When I really need them
I feel like a baby that
Hasn't learned to speak yet
And that's damn frustrating.

Three reasons to not make a poem

First of all, I should make you aware of the fact that reading this essay will probably neither improve your general knowledge nor your vocabulary. It’s just to show how difficult and boring writing a poem might be.

Number one: the rhyme. Yes, you will have to send your precious time thinking about what matches with “zebra”. Second: the structure. Assuming that you are a regular person, you don’t really have to clue on how many paragraphs must a poem have, or how many lines must those paragraphs have! Third one: the homosexual tendency. Well, don’t take this as prejudice, but you have to agree with me: writing a poem might be considerate “suspicious”, if you know what I mean…

So, now, whenever your teacher asks you to write a poem or a common text, don’t hesitate! Make the right choice, give him these three concrete arguments and be happy!
